Nedim Bajrami axed in four Clement changes, Rangers anticipate XI vs Hearts

Rangers manager Philippe Clement is under pressure as the team prepares to face Hearts on Sunday.

The Gers will go to Tynecastle on February 16th, hoping to rebound from their shock 1-0 defeat to Queens Park the previous time out.

After being eliminated from the Scottish Cup, the Ibrox club is now focused on winning as many league games as possible in order to regain some prestige.

The rest of the season begins against Neil Critchley’s team, as the Light Blues’ manager looks to keep his job with Patrick Stewart’s backing.

John Souttar to return to Rangers starting XI v Hearts

There was some elements of rotation used by Clement as he welcomed the Scottish Championship side to Govan last weekend.

The Belgian could therefore be set to revert to a typical-looking Gers side in a return to league action against the Jambos, with four changes potentially on the cards.

This could see Jack Butland come back into the side to replace Liam Kelly who made his seventh appearance of the campaign at Ibrox last time out.

Ahead of the Englishman, John Souttar could come back into the side to join Jefte, Robin Propper and James Tavernier regardless of the latter’s penalty miss against Queens Park.

The duo at the base of midfield could also be in line to feature one change as Nico Raskin is likely to reclaim his role ahead of Bailey Rice. The Belgian could be set to feature alongside Mohamed Diomande once again who also started in the cup.

Nedim Bajrami faces Rangers axe v Hearts

Ianis Hagi and Vaclav Cerny failed to have the desired attacking impact against Queens Park but will be hoping to right those wrongs against Hearts.

The attacking duo could be in line to remain in the side despite Nedim Bajrami potentially being set to take a place on the bench.

This could see Hamza Igamane move out wide to take a place on the wing which has often been a change utilised by Clement at different points this campaign.

This could be done to accommodate a change to bring Cyriel Dessers back into the starting XI after coming off the bench at half-time last time out in Govan.

The Nigerian will certainly have to be on form, as will the rest of his teammates if they are to secure a positive form and ease pressure on their manager.
