Nottingham Forest had a good time at Molineux last night, and when the game ended, the Reds won 3-0.
Forest won thanks to goals from Morgan Gibbs-White, Chris Wood, and Taiwo Awoniyi, giving the Reds 40 points from 20 games.
Jamie Carragher commended Gibbs-White’s efforts, which came in front of Thomas Tuchel, who was there at the game.
Forest’s captain was in terrific form throughout the game, with Gibbs-White celebrating enthusiastically after opening the scoring after only seven minutes.
Neco Williams sent a message to Morgan Gibbs-White
Gibbs-White had quite the night.
After weathering hateful insults from the Wolves fans, the Reds skipper scored after seven minutes and performed his typical celebration in front of the home crowd.
The boos quickly subsided after he hushed them with another goal against his former team, and he took to Instagram following the game.
His wordless message included emojis depicting his celebration, and Neco Williams responded with a funny remark.
He wrote, “Quiet stadium after seven minutes.”
Molineux did try to rally behind their squad but following his goal, the booing for Gibbs-White weren’t quite so strong.
Gibbs-White will hope for England call
When asked about Tuchel’s participation during the game, Gibbs-White stated he was unaware of the new England manager’s presence.
It’s difficult to accept it as gospel, and he did deliver his response with a sardonic smirk.
Gibbs-White did all he could in order to impress Tuchel and ideally, he can impress when Forest meet Liverpool when the new manager is likely to be in attendance once more.
The Forest star was destined to represent his country, and his flashy style of play is ideal for the world stage.
Gibbs-White certainly liked his performance at Molineux last night, and the hope is that his present form will continue.
