Archie Gray has burst into the scene at Leeds United and appears to be a long-term staple in the squad.

That is, if he is not lured away, as his name has already been connected with Premier League clubs, including Manchester United [Football Transfers].

Gray has played 2,363 minutes in the Championship this season, more than any other under-21 player.

According to LUFC Data on Twitter [3 February], Gray has seven clean sheets in the second tier, more than any other player his age.

Judging Gray on clean sheets makes sense considering his consistency at right-back this season, but only after a Daniel Farke masterclass.

Archie Gray’s Leeds United career to date.

The German put the teenager into that position and has not looked back since.

Gray tops Leeds players in tackles per game (2.4) [WhoScored], not includes the now-departed Djed Spence (2.4).

To highlight his attacking abilities, he also leads the league in dribbles per game with 0.8.

Gray, praised as “phenomenal” by Jermaine Beckford for his debut performance against Cardiff City, has only improved in the six months since.

In the 1-0 win over Bristol City, the kid got 86 ball touches, trailing just centre-backs Ethan Ampadu (93) and Joe Rodon (103) [WhoScored].

Gray also won four of his six ground duels [Sofascore], and his three successful dribble returns were equaled only by Georginio Rutter.

Gray’s development from a promising center midfielder to one of the league’s best right backs shows no signs of slowing down.
