Daniel Farke was without Manor Solomon for four straight games as Leeds United continued his Championship promotion push.
Before returning to duty in a 2-0 victory against Sheffield United on Friday, October 18, the winger suffered a back injury that resulted in a hamstring injury, leaving Farke with few options on the flank.
While Largie Ramazani and Wilfried Gnonto have been covering the flanks admirably, the former has just experienced a setback, emphasizing the importance of Solomon’s return from injury.
Solomon told the Yorkshire Evening Post [24 October]: “I’m feeling fine, it’s behind me, and all I want to do is get more minutes, play better, and show a better side of myself. I am still not at the top of my game, but I will get there.”
Although the 25-year-old has only one assist since joining Elland Road, he has already demonstrated his Premier League potential.
Manor Solomon still has more to show for Leeds United.
This adds to the excitement of his “still not at the top of my game” remark, and fans should expect many more goal contributions before the season finishes.
The Israeli international, who has already been branded “brilliant” by BBC journalist Adam Pope, has 31 goals in 106 appearances for Shakhtar Donetsk.
His time in England has been far from ideal, with multiple injuries at Fulham and Tottenham, which was a concern when his one-game absence turned into four, but he is now back and ready for more.
Of course, it is far too early to judge his career at Elland Road, but the early indicators are quite promising, and fans will be delighted to see him return to the starting XI shortly.
