Elland Road is poised to rock on Thursday (4 April) for the FA Youth Cup semi-final between Leeds United and Millwall.
Ben Parker, a former Leeds player and current community liaison executive, posted a ticket update on his official X account on Tuesday (2 April).
Parker stated that almost 9,000 tickets have been sold so far, with another couple of days to go.
It means there will almost probably be a five-figure crowd at Elland Road as a fitting reward for the children.
Manchester City faces Bristol City in the other FA Youth Cup semi-final.
The youth side has now advanced through four rounds, defeating Norwich City, Brighton, Sheffield United, and Liverpool.
The 3-1 victory over Liverpool was a true statement of purpose, demonstrating exactly what this team is capable of.
If Leeds defeat rivals Millwall – and they will feel themselves favourites going into the game – they will have a final to look forward to.
Bristol City and Manchester City, the two remaining top-tier sides, will face off in the other semi-final on Tuesday (2 April).
As we have witnessed this season with Archie Gray and others, there are other talented gems emerging from the academy.
With a large crowd behind them, let’s hope this new generation of young talents can put on a show and keep their cup chances alive.
