Tottenham continue to monitor Morgan Gibbs-White’s situation at Nottingham Forest, as their interest in a transfer remains strong.
On the current episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior writer Pete O’Rourke stated that Ange Postecoglou is planning a midfield change, with Gibbs-White, 24, one of several names on their shortlist of targets.
According to sources, Tottenham are planning for a busy summer, with the manager requesting transfers to improve his squad.
On 10 May, Football Insider stated that Forest had set a £60 million price tag on their star player, with a “huge” amount required to let him leave.
Tottenham are keeping an eye on Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of a potential transfer.
Gibbs-White joined Forest in a £42.5 million deal from Wolves in 2022, after the club was promoted to the Premier League.
Since joining the City Ground, he has made 80 appearances, scored 11 goals, and contributed 18 assists, helping them secure their spot in the top level.
Last season was his most impressive at the club, with six goals and 10 assists in 42 appearances, prompting high-profile interest from Tottenham and rival clubs.
With his side fighting relegation and nearly escaping last season, Gibbs-White is expected to seek a promotion, especially after missing out on this summer’s England squad.
Forest, meanwhile, is under pressure to sell players this month in order to balance the books, fearing future violations of profit and sustainability regulations.
Last season’s four-point deduction for their first breach put them in severe danger of relegation, and Evangelos Marinakis is desperate to avoid a repeat of that scenario next season.
Gibbs-White was earlier labeled as the club’s “most sellable asset” by Football Insider, although Murillo, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Anthony Elanga have also been linked with moves.
