Morgan Gibbs-White has reacted to Nottingham Forest securing their Premier League membership for another season.
The Reds went to Burnley knowing they were safe, barring a mathematical swing of miraculous propositions.
Forest, on the other hand, remained professional to the very end, winning 2-1 at Turf Moor to put any uncertainty to rest.
Furthermore, Luton were defeated 4-2 at Kenilworth Road on the last day, finishing with just 26 points.
Forest have some work to do in the summer, but following today’s game, Gibbs-White took to X to reflect on the season.
Morgan Gibbs-White reacts to Nottingham Forest remaining in the Premier League.
Turf Moor was bathed in sunshine this afternoon, and it was difficult to dispute that the Forest faithful were in excellent voice.
Forest fans were in high spirits in the North West, much like they were at Selhurst Park on the final day of last season, where Premier League survival was the goal.
Forest can now look forward to a third season in the Premier League, as survival is officially guaranteed.
Following the game, Gibbs-White took to X to share his thoughts on another season of pulling the strings for Forest.
He wrote, “What a season! Full of ups and downs, but one constant has been your unwavering support.
“We can’t thank you enough for your love and belief in us. “What a city and what a club.”
Forest should forget the selling of Starman.
With financial fair play still looming in the background, Forest will almost definitely have to sell one of its best players.
However, the Reds must do whatever it takes to ensure that Gibbs-White does not leave Forest.
Gibbs-White, 24, has progressed significantly this season, scoring six goals and assisting ten times.
Selling him may make financial sense, but the initial offer must be correct.
The Reds would need to find a successor, which would not be simple.
Gibbs-White still has so much untapped potential, and Forest will hopefully do whatever it takes to keep the playmaker at the club.
