Nottingham Forest are looking to sign a player or two this month, with a striker being the priority during the January transfer window.

Evangelos Marinakis has never hidden his desire to buy a striker. He wants Forest to secure their position in the Premier League table and qualify for the Champions League.

Marinakis is likely to find European football tolerable. However, it appears that he is eager to once again demonstrate his ambition in the transfer market.

Forest has been related to Matheus Cunha. He is widely regarded as the club’s top target for the upcoming transfer window, and this would not be the first time Forest has done business with Wolves.

Morgan Gibbs-White has previously approved Forest’s signing of Matheus Cunha.

The Brazilian player has previously irritated Forest fans. During a 2-2 draw against the Reds in April, he scored and then performed the Morgan Gibbs-White celebration to entertain the spectators.

Nonetheless, Gibbs-White would undoubtedly welcome Cunha to Forest. He got his revenge in that game, and he celebrated passionately in front of the Wolves fans when he scored as well.

When asked about Cunha, Gibbs-White replied, “He’s a friend of mine. He’s a very good guy. Football is entertainment, and we demonstrated that today, but as a team, we are quite frustrated.”

Cunha has scored ten Premier League goals this season. He is being courted by a number of top-flight clubs, and while it is expected that he will continue at Wolves, his future remains uncertain.

Cunha would be an excellent signing for Forest.

This would be a bit of a statement signing for Forest. The true benefit of signing Cunha is that he won’t need to settle in to the Premier League.

Cunha may do well alongside Gibbs-White. He brings flair and flamboyance to the final third, and he’s a fantastic finisher, so it’s no surprise that he’s gaining attention.

Forest might not be able to get Cunha this time. It could be a summer deal, but if the player makes a fuss about leaving, the Reds could be able to sign him before the deadline.
