Archie Gray, a Leeds United youngster, is swiftly developing as one of the most sought-after prospects outside of the Premier League.
Gray, despite being under the age of 18, has played an important role for Leeds this season under Daniel Farke.
Gray naturally piques the interest of those above him. Manchester United are known to admire the Leeds youngster, and Tottenham and Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Gray.
However, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, nothing is known about Gray’s future, even if interest was always expected.
Archie Gray is drawing interest with his Leeds form.
In his most recent Q&A post, Ornstein stated that he would be more astonished if teams weren’t sniffing over Gray.
“I’d be astonished if there was no interest, but it doesn’t imply he’ll leave. He has just signed a new deal, and even if offers come in, he may choose to stay. Leeds’ financial situation (like Leicester’s) requires promotion back to the Premier League, which would take precedence over the desire to trade Gray, who turns 18 in March. If that goal is not met, the vultures are expected to circle and some difficult decisions will have to be taken,” Ornstein stated.
Destined for the top.
Anyone who has watched Archie Gray this season knows how good he is. The youngster has been absolutely spectacular for Leeds, and the fact that he is only 17 is incredible.
Regardless of whether Leeds are promoted, Archie Gray is headed for the top. Someone will pay for him if Leeds lets him go, and he will be worth that much money in the long run.
Sometimes a young player comes along who appears to have been playing the game for years. Archie Gray is one of these players, and he is poised for a successful future with a major team.
