‘Major’ player sale would hugely benefit Leeds in the next five days, according to reports

Leeds United would benefit immensely from selling one of its best players within the next five days, but the need is not urgent, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The newspaper reported in its online version (25 June) that a “major player sale” before 30 June would help the Whites’ financial results.

Despite this, it is suggested that considering how Leeds has handled business thus far, selling a star may not be required.

After initial summer concerns, they are thought to be on “sound enough footing” heading into the end of the football fiscal year.

Leeds United might keep stars this summer.

Many fans were concerned when Daniel Farke’s side lost to Southampton in the Play-Off final and did not advance.

The financial disparities between another year in the Championship and the Premier League are enormous, and Leeds were particularly hard hit.

Things appear to have settled down, with Leeds looking certain to keep some of their players this summer.

With Red Bull’s investment, there may be renewed hope that the club may make some moves in the summer market.

Someone like Crysencio Summerville is still likely to attract interest from the Premier League and Europe, but it appears like Leeds will not be forced to trade him.

Georginio Rutter and Wilfried Gnonto may now stay at Elland Road, where they were expected to leave this summer.

Leeds fans, who feared the worst after missing out on promotion last season, will be relieved to hear the news.
