Liverpool transfer rumours: The Premier League attacker has demonstrated that he is ready for the next step in his career.

Liverpool’s aims in recent months have ranged from Florian Wirtz to Jamal Musiala, but one young attacker in particular is exceeding Bukayo Saka and Cole Palmer.

Jurgen Klopp’s departure in the summer has created an air of uncertainty around the club. Despite this, there is a strong sense that the club has potential to move in a variety of directions, particularly in terms of transfers. Richard Hughes, as well as the returning Michael Edwards, will provide fresh ideas.

Michael Olise of Crystal Palace has received a lot of attention, and not just from Liverpool fans. Dazzling off the Eagles’ right wing, the 22-year-old has a good argument for being one of the best players outside of the top six teams. Despite missing 18 games this season due to a hamstring injury, he has nevertheless scored seven goals and provided four assists, the most of which have come under Roy Hodgson’s pragmatic approach.

Under new manager Oliver Glasner, he has the potential to reach new heights and has been really impressive. And he was in top form as they defeated West Ham 5-2 at the weekend, with a goal and an assist. Liverpool are in talks with Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea about his £60 million release clause, which is allegedly available this summer.

If so, he may be a ready-made alternative for Mohamed Salah, whose contract expires next summer, and his statistics show that he is performing exceptionally well. Leaving aside the individual goals and assists, Olise’s overall play is what can distinguish him. In compared to Saka and Palmer, two of the league’s greatest attackers this season, he has higher p90 stats for projected assists, major chances generated, successful dribbles, take-on %, fouls gained, progressive carry distance, and accurate crosses.

Although he turned down a lucrative contract from Chelsea last summer to stay at Palace, and given Glasner has now brought a new energy to the club and a system that should see them compete better next season, it is likely he will want to stay at Selhurst Park for at least one more year to see how this team performs. Furthermore, he is adored by the club’s fans.
