According to Football Insider, Joe Gomez is evaluating his future at Liverpool after being supposedly offered to Newcastle in a swap deal for Anthony Gordon.
According to the Telegraph, Liverpool stated during conversations that they would accept £45 million for Gomez, 27, which means Gordon could have moved to Anfield for £30 million plus Gomez, meeting Newcastle’s £75 million valuation.
However, the transaction including Gomez and Gordon fell through because Newcastle met its profit and sustainability targets through previous player sales.
Liverpool is still watching the England winger’s situation and hopes to complete a move in the final month of the transfer season.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool is still open to trade Gomez for the appropriate price during the next four weeks.

Former Charlton Athletic wonderkid Gomez joined Merseyside in 2015 and has made 224 appearances for the club without scoring a single goal.
Gomez’s versatility, which allows him to play wherever along the back line, has been a huge benefit to the Merseyside club, and he thrived during an extended spell at left-back last season.
Liverpool have failed to acquire a single new first-team player this transfer window, as new manager Arne Slot guides the club through a period of transition.
The six-time Champions League winners’ title challenge fell apart in the latter stages of last season, owing in large part to a 2-0 setback to local rivals Everton.
Gomez made England’s Euro 2024 roster but did not play for Gareth Southgate’s side.
