Liverpool are desperate to sign Rodrygo, and after failing with a massive cash proposal, the Reds have attempted a trade.
According to Diario Madridista, the Los Blancos rejected the Reds’ bid of 120 million euros for the Brazilian international.
According to the news source, Liverpool offered Luis Diaz in a swap deal to sign Rodrygo but received a negative response.
Real Madrid has made their decision and wants to sell the South American winger for 150 million euros (£126.8 million) this summer.
Diaz is said to be swift and lethal, and he would start for many clubs across the world, but not Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.
As a result, the European champions turned down the opportunity to sign the Colombian international, who is valued at roughly £75 million by the Liverpool club.
Rodrygo is a natural winger, although he played primarily as a center forward last season, scoring 17 goals in all competitions.
Luis Diaz, who has also been linked with a move to Barcelona, scored 13 goals for Liverpool despite playing primarily on the left wing.
Ideally, Arne Slot should keep the former Porto star, who is 27 and in his peak, and consider replacing Mohamed Salah, who is past his prime and will turn 32 this weekend.
