Dr. Rajpal Brar says Leeds United sensation Charlie Crew would be evaluated on a daily basis following his latest injury.
The injury expert noted that it is difficult to determine the nature of his setback because the information supplied is so restricted.
However, there is a likelihood that the 17-year-old midfielder will be out for several weeks.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a Physical Therapist and Sports Scientist, said about Crew:
“This is tough to explain because there is so little knowledge about it.
“The crucial measures are to give him time to recover – like they did with him by pulling him from international duty – and then gradually bringing him back up.
“He will now be monitored regularly and depending on how he responds, his training will be ramped up and it could even take weeks.”
Leeds United will monitor him on a regular basis.
Crewe moved to Elland Road in the summer and has another year left on his contract, which expires in 2025.
He has been a regular in the Premier League 2 squad and hopes to make it into Leeds’ first team.
Daniel Farke, like many young players, will receive regular Crew reports, and it remains to be seen whether he will be called up to the first squad soon.
