Leeds United winger ‘unlikely’ to play again this season after suffering injury

Jack Harrison, a Leeds United winger, may have played his final loan game for Everton.

Following relegation to the Championship last summer, a slew of players left Elland Road on loan, including Harrison. He joined Everton on a season-long loan, despite reports of interest from Aston Villa.

His loan deal is set to expire at the conclusion of the season, but it appears that his season has been cut short.

Toffees manager Sean Dyche said: “Jack is hurt, and it appears doubtful that he will return before the conclusion of the season. It’s terrible since he has played a lot of football and done quite well.”

Everton’s season will conclude next week, on May 19, when they travel the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal. Dyche has utilized Harrison extensively this season, starting him in 25 league games.

It remains to be seen whether Harrison has a future at Elland Road, and it may be determined by whether Leeds make the Premier League or not. However, it has been stated that Leeds will consider offers for the wideman anyway.

Prior to his loan move, he made 206 appearances for Leeds. He first joined the Whites on loan from Manchester City in 2018, ahead of Marcelo Bielsa’s debut season in charge. He then spent the next three seasons on loan at the club until signing permanently in 2021.
