Latest Leeds United news as details for the FA Cup fifth-round fixture have been confirmed following Aston Villa’s all-Premier League showdown with Chelsea at Villa Park.
Leeds United’s opponents for the fifth round of the FA Cup have been officially announced.
Daniel Farke’s team will face Chelsea in the following round of the famous cup competition. Chelsea defeated Aston Villa 3-1 on Wednesday night in the fourth round at Villa Park.
Leeds booked their place in the next round with a 4-1 win over Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night. Extra time was required to determine the winner, as goals from Wilfried Gnonto, Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter, and an own goal by Ryan Hardle ensured the club’s advancement to the fifth round.

Between now and then, Leeds will play four Championship games against Rotherham, Swansea City, Leicester City, and Plymouth. United sit 12 points behind league leaders Leicester, and one point behind second-placed Southampton for the final automatic promotion slot.
