Leeds United star ‘closes in’ on permanent exit after making ‘greatest player’ claim

All the latest news and transfer speculations about Leeds United as they prepare to face Plymouth Argyle.

Leeds United will now put the finishing touches on their preparations for Saturday’s match against Plymouth Argyle. The Whites have already met Plymouth twice in recent weeks in the FA Cup, making this match even more intriguing, with Daniel Farke’s side eager to extend their winning streak.

The automatic promotion chase appears to be going all the way until the conclusion of the season, and Leeds understands how important consistency is. Meanwhile, we’ve compiled a list of the most recent Elland Road news and transfer rumours.

    Llorente update
Diego Llorente, a Leeds player, could be set to stay at AS Roma permanently. It was revealed last week that the centre-back might become a permanent target for Roma, and a new rumor has gone one step further.

According to Il Romanista, Roma is ‘one step away’ from finalizing an agreement to keep Llorente, and an announcement is expected soon. The Italian giants elected not to purchase Llorente permanently this summer, instead resigning him on loan, but it appears the centre-back has already done enough to persuade his loan club.

    Morrison on Leeds Star
Clinton Morrison, a Sky Sports analyst, has spoken about Leeds and named their most significant player thus far this season. He stated, “This young man has been their finest player, Summerville. Without a doubt, he has the ability to play in the Premier League.” Summerville came onto the scene in the Premier League last season, scoring some memorable goals but not enough to keep Leeds in the top level. However, his goals this season have the potential to propel the Whites back into the top flight, and he is already closing in on the Championship golden boot leaders after scoring twice in a 4-0 win over Swansea City last week.
