Leeds United player has stated desire for a summer move. Promotion prospects are highly crucial

According to Diario de Sevilla, Real Betis is unsure whether they will try to sign Leeds United’s Marc Roca this summer. He’s been on loan with them since last summer and has played an important role under Manuel Pellegrini this season.

The attitude appeared to be the beginning of a bargaining strategy, with the goal of convincing Leeds United to drop their asking price.

Estadio Deportivo now has a different take, stating that Real Betis wants the Leeds-owned player to stay with them.

Manu Fajardo and Álvaro Ladrón de Guevara lead the Andalusian club’s sporting plan, with a focus on the championship.
Daniel Farke’s side is second in the rankings, one point clear of third-place Leicester City, who have a game in hand.

If the Whites fail to return to the Premier League, Betis can sign the 27-year-old on another loan.

In that case, it would be ‘easier’ for Real Betis to keep Roca. If Leeds are promoted, Pellegrini’s side will need to negotiate and achieve an arrangement with them.

Roca wants to stay, and the Spanish club wants to keep him, therefore any prospective transfer in the next window will be determined by where the Whites finish this season.

As a result, Real Betis is keeping a careful eye on what happens in the Championship.
