According to rumors, Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca has decided to leave the club for Real Betis, but the trade must be approved by the Whites first.
Daniel Farke will not be thinking at summer transfer plans just now, with Leeds still having a slim possibility of automatic promotion before the playoffs begin.
The collection of loan players distributed around Europe will figure into his plans in the coming weeks, with some considering exits.
Marc Roca ‘agrees’ to leave Real Betis – Report
According to Spanish broadcaster ABC Sevilla, Marc Roca has ‘decided’ to stay at La Liga side Real Betis beyond his current loan spell, with the item headlined:
“Agreement with Marc Roca waiting to conclude a new transfer with Leeds.”
Roca and his advisors have worked with the club to negotiate an arrangement to continue in Seville once his loan ends on June 30.
That includes his pay and contract length, which are plainly pre-determined in the event that Leeds and the 49ers agree.
Roca might leave on loan again this summer.
Because Roca’s contract includes an additional clause, this loan has not been converted into a permanent transaction like Luis Sinisterra’s £20 million departure from Bournemouth.
This condition allows him to leave Leeds on loan again if they are not promoted to the Premier League, which appears more likely now that the top two are out of the running.
Betis, like Leeds, are now waiting to see if the club will remain in the EFL, where they may keep the Spaniard for another season without paying a permanent transfer fee.
Roca should pay us a price.
Getting promoted would be ideal in this situation, as Roca appears to be one of our guaranteed eight-figure sales.
Betis has been playing hardball to try to get him back on loan or on the cheap, but we can put an end to that.
If we go up to Wembley, they’ll have to pay a lot of money to sign him, which would be a huge boost to the coffers.
Stay down, and we’ll open a can of worms with Roca and possibly others on loan.
