Leeds United have set an asking price for centre-back Max Wöber that might climb to £10.27 million, with Borussia Monchengladbach seeking a permanent deal.
The Whites must be thinking about the summer and potential FFP issues immediately, with loan players likely to be critical in balancing the books regardless of the tier Leeds ends up in.
Those on loan who have settled in with new teams may be sold if the buying clubs can find the correct price.

This week, Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg reported that Borussia Monchengladbach is interested in permanently signing Max Wöber from Leeds.
His loan appears to be going well after signing back in the summer window, although Leeds are asking for a somewhat high cost of £8.56-£10.27 million.

It appears that the 49ers will not be held hostage when it comes to releasing these loan players, which is very understandable given how these players left the team in the offseason.
With Wöber’s fate in our hands, it appears that his summer will be positive for Leeds and Daniel Farke.
Either we sell him for the above-mentioned sum, which constitutes breaking even on the books and gives us more wiggle room with FFP next term, or he stays and must reintegrate.
As much as fans (including us) would like him not to be in the squad, Leeds may see him as a useful bench player next season.
If we stay in the Premier League, Liam Cooper’s contract is set to expire, therefore we’ll need at least two or three new centre-backs, including Joe Rodon.
Having Wöber as a backup to Pascal Struijk as a left-sided centre-back could be a good approach to add depth to the squad without having to go out and sign someone, saving us time and money.
Or we sell him and forget he was ever here, leaving us with a nice amount to reinvest in stronger players who want to be here.
