Leeds United has five transfer concerns as Liverpool lead the Elland Road invasion

Several Leeds United players are allegedly attracting interest from Premier League clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

If Daniel Farke fails to earn promotion to the Premier League this summer, Leeds United could face relegation. The Whites are currently second in the Championship, nine points back of Leicester City.

While Leeds have climbed into second place for automatic promotion, they still face stiff competition from Southampton and Ipswich Town, both of whom have a game in hand and are only a few points behind. When asked about the promotion competition, Farke replied, “To be honest, I’d rather be in position one.”

“Each victory and every point counts. We don’t look too closely at the table. You must take it step by step. We’re still working on a couple phases. “We take every game seriously.”

A position in the play-offs would not be the end of the world, but with a slew of clubs circling Elland Road like sharks, Leeds are under pressure to earn a spot in the Premier League. In doing so, the Whites would have the best chance of maintaining their household names.

With that said, LeedsLive has looked at the five players who, according to the Express, might quit the club if Leeds fail to climb out of the Championship this season.

    Archie Gray

Just last week, Farke showered praise on Gray, who has had a fantastic debut season in the Championship. The 17-year-old midfielder has made 31 appearances, helping Leeds rise to second place and generating comparisons to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

“All the credit must go to Archie,” the Leeds manager told Sky Sports last week. “You can work with a player, support him, and trust him, but we can only get him to the door; he must take the next step.

“He’s done it with remarkable maturity and consistency for a 17-year-old.

“He is still very grounded, humble, and has good habits. That is extremely important that you don’t get overly excited after just one or two good games or months.”

    Wilfred Gnonto

Gnonto was extensively linked with a move to Everton in the summer, but the transfer fell through. As the 20-year-old forward continues to perform, he’s anticipated to garner interest at the conclusion of the season, with the Toffees facing stiff competition for his services.

    Crysencio Summerville

Last summer, in the Square Ball podcast, Angus Kinnear said that the club received offers of around £20 million for Summerville. If the 22-year-old continues to impress between now and the end of the season, the Leeds chief executive may be inundated with even more offers.

    Ethan Ampadu

who joined Leeds from Chelsea last summer, has made a significant impact on the team. During his time at Stamford Bridge, the Wales international struggled to establish himself as a fixture in the Blues’ starting lineup, but he has immediately emerged as an important member of Farke’s squad.

    Joe Rodon

Joe Rodon’s loan from Tottenham Hotspur is set to expire at the conclusion of the season, and Farke aims to sign him permanently. But Ange Postecoglou may be the least of his worries; the 26-year-old could attract a lot of interest in the summer, so Leeds must be prepared to guarantee him Premier League football.
