Leeds United appear to be a busy club heading into the transfer deadline, with names being thrown around left, right, and center.
With a huge portion of the Championship season yet to play, there could be many twists and turns, which is why the final few days of this window are critical.
Daniel Farke has done an excellent job in getting Leeds United to where they are today, but the 49ers are looking for five more recruits.
One position that is certainly being chased is striker, with Leeds United recently making a bid for Cameron Archer.
However, it appears that a centre-back is still on the radar, with a possible Daniel Farke reunion at Elland Road.
Leeds United remains interested in signing Nico Elvedi.
A centre-back is one of the positions identified for Leeds to move into this month, although there haven’t been many real links in recent years.
Tottenham’s Ben Davies has been mentioned, although the Premier League team is currently dealing with an injury crisis, making this improbable.
According to TeamTALK, Nico Elvedi is another long-term target for Leeds, and he is still on their radar.
However, it has been suggested that his preference is to wait until the summer, when he may be available for £8 million to £10 million, with a January move seen difficult.
A center-back is sorely needed at Leeds United.
Daniel Farke presently has only three acknowledged centre backs at his disposal: Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, and Maximilian Wober.
Due to Struijk’s injury, Ethan Ampadu has been playing there in recent weeks as well.
Leeds are interested in signing Elvedi, indicating that they want to bolster this area, but he may be the wrong guy because he appears to have his sights set on the Premier League.
However, the fact that Daniel Farke has spent time with him in Germany will work in his favour.
