Glen Kamara, a Leeds United midfielder, has said that Dundee FC fans continue to message him, wanting him to return to the club.
Leeds’ transfer business in the summer window was hampered by a paucity of income from departing transfers, but the 49ers still made key recruits to enhance promotion ambitions.
Glen Kamara joined from Rangers for a £5 million sum, which is 100 times what the Glasgow giants paid for him from Dundee FC.
Kamara offers Dundee fan insights.
Kamara’s efforts at Leeds have earned him a lot of plaudits from supporters, and his midfield performances are exactly what Daniel Farke requires in the double pivot.
Fans of his former club appear to miss him even after he moved for Ibrox, as Kamara stated that he still receives notes from their supporters.
Speaking with The Courier, he stated:
“I sometimes get texts from Dundee fans telling me to return!
“The fans were great; they were always singing my name.” “I really enjoyed it there.”
Kamara feels appreciative for his time at Dundee.
Kamara’s career has progressed significantly after leaving Arsenal’s junior setup. He is now a senior international for Finland.
After loan spells at Southend United and Colchester United, he made the permanent transfer to Dundee in 2015, which he believes was the turning point in his career.
“Going to Dundee and playing so many games was a huge step for me.
“I grew up a lot, and I truly enjoyed my time there. I learned a lot; simply playing football was significant to me.
“It really set me in a good way.”
Kamara has been fantastic for Leeds since signing from Rangers.
Kamara was a signing that appeared to be a done deal throughout the summer, but it took some time for Leeds to complete.
Since then, he’s demonstrated why he was on the list, with ball retention in midfield currently second to none.
His technical skill is something we have needed in midfield in previous seasons, and he has enough of it.
