Leeds United are prepared to return to Championship action against Watford on Tuesday.

This comes just days after the Whites suffered a 2-0 FA Cup fourth-round defeat to Millwall after Daniel Farke heavily rotated his squad.

Ahead of the game against the Hornets, the German head coach provided several information, including the future of Junior Firpo at Elland Road.

MOT Leeds News collects all of the day’s top stories in one location.

Supercomputer updates Leeds United’s promotion hopes

Last time out in the league, Leeds put one over on old foe Frank Lampard, defeating Coventry City 2-0 to preserve their lead.

In the days following their victory at the Coventry Building Society Arena, the Opta Analyst’s supercomputer [10 February] gave Leeds a 90.2% likelihood of automatic promotion and a 68.58% chance of winning the championship.

This has fallen from immediately before the result, when the supercomputer first gave the Whites a 70.7% chance of winning the league and a 91.08 percent chance of automatics.

Marcelo Bielsa ally makes a ‘brutal’ revelation.

Diego Bermudez worked in Marcelo Bielsa’s backroom at Elland Road, serving as an analyst from 2019 until 2022.

Looking back on his time in LS11, the Spaniard described Premier League football as “rapid” but also claiming to have felt a “brutal sense of belonging” at Leeds [La Voz de Galicia].

He went on to say that the Whites “have one of the best” fan bases after his Premier League experiences, and he was proud of his achievements in West Yorkshire.

Daniel Farke reveals surgical bombshell before of Watford match.

Farke has announced that Max Wober will need surgery to repair a knee problem that has been lingering for some weeks.

This means that Austria will be out of action until after the March international break, having not played for the Whites since early January.

The German head coach acknowledged this in his news conference on February 10th, saying: “Wober has an ongoing knee injury, which is another setback.

“He will need another surgery, which we will perform as soon as feasible. He’ll surely be out till the next international break.”

Daniel Farke shares Junior Firpo contract update at Leeds United.

Junior Firpo is one of many players that will enter the last months of their contracts at the end of the season and are worried about their futures.

The Leeds manager has already announced that there will be no additional updates on Firpo’s contract situation at Elland Road [Adam Pope, 10 February].

On February 10, Farke said, “No, we play every three days, therefore there is no time for contract talks. We discuss contracts once players have regained their rhythm. “There is no time to waste energy on that.”
