TEAMtalk reports that Archie Gray will not leave Leeds United this summer, despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund.
Despite missing out on promotion via the Play-Offs, the 18-year-old appears to be staying at Elland Road for the upcoming season.
The Englishman signed a new deal in January until 2028 and, despite high-level interest, is thought to be “more than happy” at Elland Road.
Gray’s agent, Hayden Evans, is concerned that a transfer away will impede his development as a player and is “thrilled with his current trajectory” at Leeds.
The site claimed (14 June) that if a “mammoth proposal” comes in, the Whites’ stance may change depending on their financial circumstances.
Archie Gray to stay with Leeds United
Leeds had a number of standout players last season, and they will want to keep them around for the coming season.
The most well-known names are Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter, and Wilfried Gnonto, all of whom are expected to have numerous suitors.
That being said, if fans were given the choice of keeping those guys or Gray, there would undoubtedly be a discussion.
At the age of 18, he is already one of the Whites’ finest players, and he will only improve in the future, making him an exciting potential.
As a Leeds supporter, the narrative is much sweeter, and as a result, the Elland Road fans treat him like one of their own.
If there are financial concerns this summer, he might undoubtedly help to resolve them given the money that the club may seek.
Fans may now breathe a sense of relief, knowing that he intends to stay at Elland Road beyond this season.
