Ahead of Leeds United’s crucial Championship matchup with Sheffield United, Daniel Farke has released a squad news update.

On Monday, February 24, Leeds will travel to Bramall Lane to play Sheffield United in a matchup between the top two teams in the division.

Farke’s team is coming off a fantastic run of play, having most recently defeated Sunderland, another team vying for promotion, 2-1 in a thrilling match last Monday, February 17.

Farke provided an update on Manor Solomon ahead of the Yorkshire game against Sheffield United and said that two players are unquestionably out.

Daniel Farke provides an update on Leeds United’s team news.

Farke acknowledged to reporters during his pregame press conference on Friday, February 21, that Solomon is under “question mark” following a knock he received against Sunderland.

Farke said there is a chance the Tottenham loanee could take part in training over the next two days, but it is one to be monitored.
Patrick Bamford and Max Wober, meanwhile, will definitely miss out.
All-in-all, this is a positive update from Farke, though, given the fiery nature of the win over Sunderland four days ago.

Solomon absence would be big blow for Leeds clash v Sheffield United

That said, being without Solomon is of course a big blow for Leeds – if indeed that is the case.
The Spurs loanee has seven goals and seven assists in 26 Championship outings this campaign, including both a goal and assist in Leeds’ recent 4-0 win at Watford.

However, Farke will give Solomon every opportunity to return, as the next two days will be crucial to his prospects of playing.

There are many other attacking alternatives available to Farke, and Willy Gnonto is undoubtedly eager to start. This is wonderful news for Farke.

In order to win, the team that is chosen at Bramall Lane will have to put up one of their best performances of the year.

At this moment, a point would undoubtedly be appreciated, and it would be sufficient to maintain Farke’s team in a strong position to meet their promotion goal.
