According to the Sunday Mirror, Crysencio Summerville will be allowed to leave Leeds United, with a potential return to the Premier League on the cards.
The newspaper reported in its print version (page 74, 14 July) that Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace are all interested in signing the forward.
Summerville is worth at £40 million, and the Dutchman is considering his future.
Paris Saint-Germain have already expressed an interest in the 22-year-old.
Will Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville leave Elland Road?
Summerville was the Whites’ best performance at Elland Road last season.
He was a major reason Daniel Farke’s side made it to the EFL Championship play-off final at Wembley.
He scored 20 goals and assisted nine times in 46 league matches, earning the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Season award.
Keeping hold of the player was always going to be difficult. However, it doesn’t appear that the club will put up much of a fight.
That may create some frustration at Elland Road, as retaining him would greatly increase the club’s chances of promotion next season.
However, it appears that the Whites are willing to let their star forward leave, and Farke will expect to see some of that money reinvested.
After coming so close to returning to the Premier League last season, the club will be anxious to do so again, but without Summerville, the challenge will be made even more tougher.
