Largie Ramazani has written an Instagram message to Leeds United fans following his injury against Watford at Elland Road.
Ramazani scored the opening goal in Leeds’ 2-1 victory earlier this week, but was forced to leave the field after 10 minutes due to a challenge from Festy Ebosele.
It was hoped that Ramazani’s injury was solely due to impact, however Daniel Farke later revealed in a news conference that it seems to be a twisted ankle.
Ramazani’s injury comes at the worst possible time, as he had just starting to find his form, with the game against Watford being his sixth league start in a row.
Leeds lost a lot of momentum when he was replaced by Manor Solomon, who could slide inside and join up with Brenden Aaronson and Wilfried Gnonto.
Ramazani breaks quiet following Leeds injury.
Leeds have had a terrible season with injuries, so adding Ramazani to the list would be a major blow.
Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev are still months away from returning to fitness, while Max Wober is recovering from knee surgery.
Of course, Leeds have several of alternatives in the wide areas, but Ramazani rapidly established himself as one of their most significant players in the final third.
Following Farke’s minor update on Tuesday, Ramazani broke his silence on the injury with an Instagram post last night.
Ramazani captioned photos from the win over Watford with the remark, ‘I will be back…’, which is not promising.
Farke will send Ramazani an update on Friday.
Farke will address the media on Friday afternoon ahead of Leeds’ trip to Bristol City, and one of the subjects that will almost likely be discussed is Ramazani’s injury.
Ramazani most likely had a scan on Wednesday to establish the seriousness of his injury.
The 23-year-old’s message suggests that he is now on the road to recovery, but how long that will take remains to be seen.
Leeds have a whole week to prepare for their next game against Plymouth Argyle after Bristol City, and in a perfect world, he might just miss one.
