Leicester City’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall criticized Leeds United on social media following their defeat to Queens Park Rangers, which confirmed their promotion to the Premier League.

Leicester City’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall taunted Leeds United following their defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Friday evening.

The Foxes were promoted to the Premier League following Daniel Farke’s side’s 4-0 defeat in their previous game. Leeds are presently four points behind Leicester at the top of the league, with only one game left for the Whites.

The two sides have gone back and forth during the 2023/24 season, both hoping to return to the top division of English football at the first attempt. Leeds won every game this season, with the most recent encounter at Elland Road resulting in a 3-1 win for the hosts.

Following that encounter in February, Leeds forward Georginio Rutter talked with Sky Sports to laud his team’s performance. “We are the best team,” he remarked. “I think. Today, I can’t describe, I don’t have words, and I may be fatigued. I’d like to mention that we are from Leeds.

Shortly after Leeds’ overwhelming loss to QPR, which sealed Leicester’s return to the Premier League, Foxes midfielder Dewsbury-Hall posted a clip of the interview on X, formerly Twitter, along with a thinking emoji.

The official club account also reacted to the setback, which propelled them into the top division, by writing “I predict a riot,” the title of the Kaiser Chiefs’ song that was played following their February defeat to Farke’s team.

Leeds now hold the second automatic promotion spot in the Championship and will face Southampton in their last game of the season. Ipswich Town is in third place, tied with Leeds on points but with a game in hand.
