Leeds United has been associated with a Bundesliga champion this summer, and a new report discusses if Leeds has a chance of signing him and the prospect of a player-plus-cash deal.
Leeds are anticipated to look for several additional players in the coming weeks and months. With the 49ers looking to cash in and make a profit, Leeds will have to explore the market for deals.
Crysencio Summerville, Willy Gnonto, and Georginio Rutter are all anticipated to garner attention over the summer, and if they leave, they will be replaced by those at Elland Road.
Leeds have been connected with Bayer Leverkusen’s Adam Hlozek, with the Championship winners Leicester City vying for the Czech Republic star for a reported sum of £12.75 million.
Leeds’ prospects of signing Adam Hlozek, and possible exchange agreement
Typically, Leverkusen is interested in Summerville, as are nearly half of England’s top-tier clubs, as Xabi Alonso wants to enhance his team ahead of a Champions League campaign.
Transfer specialist Ben Jacobs has provided a report on Give Me Sport’s website, claiming that Leeds have little chance of landing Hlozek after failing to gain promotion, while discounting a swap deal.
He claims there have been discussions of a player-plus-cash deal involving Hlozek and Summerville, but Leeds would oppose such a transfer because they want a cash-only sum for Summerville.
Hlozek would be a fantastic addition, but Leeds need others.
If Illan Meslier leaves, a goalkeeper may be necessary; right-back is a concern area, and Joe Rodon must be replaced. Cover for Junior Firpo is essential, as is another body in midfield if Ethan Ampadu remains in defence.
Replacements for Summerville, Gnonto, and Jaidon Anthony are required out wide, while Daniel Farke’s team has long lacked a number ten. However, Leeds does not require a location at the top of the pitch.
Leeds have signed Joel Piroe for £16 million, Patrick Bamford appears to be staying put, and Mateo Joseph might be the breakout player. Hlozek would be fantastic, but he isn’t needed.
