Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United deal expected to stun Manchester United’s move following 2023 Elland Road leave – Report

Weston McKennie’s form for Juventus since leaving Leeds United in the summer has been remarkable, and he is now linked with a move to Manchester United.

Almost none of the players who departed Elland Road in the summer following relegation will be welcomed back anytime soon, although some have since demonstrated that their bad performances may have been due to circumstances.

Weston McKennie is one of those who was an abject failure on loan from Juventus when he signed under Jesse Marsch, just days before the manager was fired; he is now a key player in Turin after returning for this season.

Weston McKennie is a crucial player at Juventus following Leeds’ defeat.

Massimiliano Allegri has reintegrated the USMNT midfielder into his squad this season, making good use of his mobility on the right side of midfield and centrally.

McKennie has made 29 appearances for the Old Lady this season and has nine assists in all competitions, four of which have come in the past two games.

The 25-year-old only scored once during his tenure at Leeds, and it came with his hands, as he launched a long throw to Rodrigo away at West Ham on the season’s penultimate day.

Manchester United now wants Leeds failure. McKennie

GiveMeSport now claims that the midfielder’s recent play has made him a surprise target for Manchester United, who are seeking for more in that part of the ground.

Despite his improved play this season, the article indicates that Juve are willing to let the midfielder leave in the summer, knowing that he would be entering the final year of his contract next season.

McKennie’s Leeds failure might not have been entirely his fault.

McKennie’s current performances are the type of powerful midfield showing that we would have liked to see in our team last season, but they never materialized.

He is capable of producing what he is right now, but for whatever reason, he was mentally unprepared for Leeds, appearing lazy and unfit throughout his time with us.

Whether that was a wake-up call for the American to get into gear back at Juventus is hard to say, but something has clicked with him.

Needless to say, though, he wasn’t the only one not pulling his weight last season, it’s just a real frustration that we had to get relegated for these players to start putting effort in this season.
