‘I’m told’: Journalist discusses what he now knows about Crysencio Summerville leaving Leeds

Leeds United sold Archie Gray this week to help some of their financial problems.

The midfielder’s £30 million transfer to Tottenham has helped Leeds avoid any FFP punishments, but the outgoings at Elland Road may not be ended yet.

Indeed, Crysencio Summerville has been connected with a move away from West Yorkshire, and according to Ben Jacobs of the London is Blue Podcast, a move to Chelsea could be in the works.

According to Jacobs, Leeds are in a better position to turn down any interest in Summerville after selling Gray, but the Whites insist they would not stand in the way if the Dutchman decides to go for a large Premier League club.

Leeds’s position on selling Crysencio Summerville

Jacobs discussed Summerville and whether he could leave Leeds this summer.

“I still wouldn’t rule out a move for Crysencio Summerville who will be available for between £35-40m,” Jacobs told ESPN.

“Because Leeds sold Archie Gray they are in a stronger position to try to rebuff it, but I’m told that if the player said he wanted to leave for a big Premier League club like Chelsea then Leeds wouldn’t stand in his way.”

    Summerville will relocate.

Leeds will not stand in Summerville’s way if he wants to go this summer, and it would be surprising if the attacker did not make a move during this window.

Simply put, Summerville is far too good to play Championship football this season, and the fact that teams like Chelsea are interested is a tribute to his abilities.

This young man is on the verge of stardom, and it would not be surprising if he became a crucial player for a side like Chelsea.

Summerville should play European football next season, not championship football.
