‘I’m going’: Troy Deeney and Simon Jordan predict whether Leeds or Southampton will win on Sunday

Graeme Souness, Troy Deeney, and Simon Jordan have all made predictions for the play-off final between Leeds United and Southampton.

The two sides will face off at Wembley Stadium on Sunday for the final remaining place in next season’s Premier League, after being relegated together a year ago.

After finishing third and fourth in the regular season, many believe this is the correct final, with OPTA’s supercomputer projecting both will advance from their semi-finals.

Both teams still have a number of Premier League-caliber players in their ranks, so it is shaping up to be an exciting final that might go any way.

Southampton were the only team to accomplish a league double over Leeds this season, so Daniel Farke will be hoping for a third consecutive win at Wembley this Saturday.

Graeme Souness, Deeney, and Jordan all predict the Leeds vs Southampton final.

Several analysts have made predictions for what is termed the richest game in football, which takes place on Sunday.

David Prutton and Ally McCoist are among those who expect Leeds to win in a penalty shootout, while Robbie Savage predicts a Whites triumph.

On the other hand, Dion Dublin and EFL expert Adrian Clarke both believe Southampton will win because of Russell Martin’s superior style of play.

And now, on the newest episode of the ‘Up Front Podcast’, Souness, Deeney, and Jordan have all offered their predictions for who will win this weekend.

Souness stated, “I’m going Leeds,” before Deeney confirmed, “I’m going Leeds.”

Jordan then said, “I’m heading to Southampton. Russell Martin possesses a certain quality. He was so frustrated after Southampton was defeated by Cardiff that I wondered if he could recover his composure.

“I’m wondering if you’re truly going to break apart. And the fact that he’s been able to grasp the nettle and guide them through the playoffs [is impressive].”

Crysencio Summerville eyeing the key Kyle Walker and Peters battle

One of the most important individual confrontations on Sunday will probably be on Leeds’ left flank, with Crysencio Summerville against Saints right-back Kyle Walker-Peters.

Both players are undoubtedly regarded as the greatest in their respective positions in the Championship, but Walker-Peters emerged victorious in both league meetings.

Walker-Peters not only kept Summerville quiet, but he also assisted at St. Mary’s and Elland Road, and the Leeds winger admits he is excited to face him again.

He said, “He’s one of the best right-backs in the Championship and was also named to the Team of the Season.” I enjoy challenging myself against the greatest, so I’m looking forward to the match.”
