‘I’ll do it’… Dom Matteo predicts the score as Leeds United take on Rotherham on Saturday

Leeds United face Rotherham United at home on Saturday as Daniel Farke’s team looks to build on their impressive run since the turn of the year – and Dom Matteo has predicted the score.

Leeds have been excellent since the turn of the year. Eight games unbeaten, seven victories, and one tie; the solitary draw came against Plymouth in the fourth round of The FA Cup. Put correctly.

Leeds advanced to the fifth round, where they will face Chelsea at the end of the month, after winning the rematch 4-1 in extra time. Farke’s team is in a good position and will be heavy favourites to win on Saturday.

Patrick Bamford and Dan James were nominated for January Player of the Month, and Farke received the Manager’s Award. Four clean sheets in five league games, with one conceded. Leeds will want vengeance.

After drawing away to Rotherham – a game in which Dan James should have won a penalty – the Whites will want to secure three points. Matteo projected a strong 4-0 win.

“Leeds win, and I’m going 4-0. At home, I’ll be hopping about, shouting, and doing all of that. “Yeah, 4-0,” Matteo said on the current official Leeds podcast.

Dom Matteo predicts a win when Leeds visit Rotherham on Saturday.

All of the final 16 League games are must-wins. Every game. That is the mentality Leeds must have, and it is mathematically necessary for them to compete with Southampton for the top two.

Ipswich are also in contention, but following their loss to Preston last week, many people’s expectations that the Tractor Boys would falter are coming true. Leeds and Southampton are on the rise.

Ipswich is clinging on. It appears that it will be a shootout between Leeds and Southampton to face Leicester – and if that is the case, Leeds must win every week. Starting Saturday afternoon.
