‘I wish you had come…’ Jesse Marsch tells £20 million striker he wants him at Leeds United

Jesse Marsch made many mistakes during his time at Leeds United.

The less said about the American’s time, the better, although perhaps things would have been different if the manager had secured all of his desired transfer targets.

Marsch was backed in the transfer market, but there was one player he seemed to desire but couldn’t get.

Indeed, according to CBS Sports, Jesse Marsch wrote a message to Benjamin Sesko following his impressive recent showing, telling the £20 million attacker that he wishes he could have had him at Leeds.

Marsch tells Sesko that he wants him at Leeds.

The manager delivered a message to the forward.

“Hi Benjamin, this is your old trainer, Jesse Marsch. It’s been a pleasure to follow you over the last few years and see how well you’ve performed in Leipzig. I’ve always believed in your ability, and I know you’re a humble, hardworking, kind guy. I want to see you soon, stay going, I’m a great admirer of yours, I’m always rooting for you, I wish you had come to Leeds, my man, keep going,” Marsch said.

    Would have been fantastic.

Sesko is a player Marsch is familiar with from his time at Red Bull, but he was unable to bring him to Leeds.

Sesko has demonstrated this season that he is a top scorer in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League, so who knows? Perhaps Marsch would still be employed, and Leeds would remain in the Premier League.

Unfortunately, Marsch had Patrick Bamford leading the line for him last season, and while Bamford is a terrific player, he was not as reliable or productive as he should have been, resulting in Leeds’ relegation.

Sesko is a wonderful talent, and we hope to see him in the Premier League one day.
