“I want to play.” The Manchester United star is open to a permanent move, but it depends on important negotiations

After going on loan to Real Betis, Manchester United winger Antony has spoken out about a possible permanent move away from the team.

In the January transfer window, the Brazilian, who paid £86 million to join United in 2022, finished a six-month loan to the Spanish team.

His status as an outcast player was highlighted by the fact that he had only started one Europa League game and none in the Premier League prior to that. His 96-game total of 12 goals and 5 assists was an astonishing return on an amazing investment.

He was connected to a permanent and loan departure when Ruben Amorim failed to use him. Betis could finalize a short-term agreement, but it could eventually turn into a permanent one.

Particularly following his outstanding start, in which he was named Man of the Match in Betis’ 2-2 tie with Athletic Bilbao.

In what appeared to be his first public interview since leaving United, Antony told the Spanish media out AS that he was thrilled to have a fresh start and a change of environment.

He stated: “I had other offers, but I felt a sense of conviction in my heart that kept me composed when Betis showed up. I’m content here and have a lot of goals in mind.

“The manager and the players both make me happy here. I feel secure and at ease.

“I want to find my best version and the first step is to be happy,” he commented, expressing his belief that he now has the platform to begin discovering his form. My family and I are content, and everything is amazing here. It’s time to get to work so I can help the club and be my best self.

“I would have to speak with the president and everything if I had to stay longer,” he stated. And for the time being, I want to play, assist, and score goals.

He explained, emphasizing that he must first establish his worth: “I have to help the team, later we can talk about that.”

    Man United’s offensive reorganization

The team is a little short in the broader areas with Antony and Marcus Rashford leaving (both on loan) and Jadon Sancho perhaps leaving once his loan at Chelsea expires.

Amad Diallo’s rise has been a rare boon for the team, but Alejandro Garnacho was connected to several clubs during the January transfer window, suggesting that a summer transfer may be imminent.

Following that, they are having difficulties and require significant funding for such locations. A different type of attacker is needed by Amorim’s approach than the usual winger, and the supporters will have many questions answered in the upcoming window.

Another transfer conundrum that guarantees the team has a lot of work to do in recruitment is the possibility that Rasmus Holjund may also be free to depart, creating another attacking space.
