Many believe Liverpool’s forward line will be overhauled due to Mohamed Salah’s uncertain future.
With Salah’s future at Liverpool still uncertain, the Reds appear to be preparing a backup plan in case the Egyptian leaves Anfield this summer.
Liverpool have been linked with a whole host of attackers, with the most high profile of those links coming in the shape of a potential move for Alexander Isak.
Despite Newcastle valuing Isak at £150m, Liverpool’s interest in the striker hasn’t gone away, with Daniel Sturridge recently revealing why the Reds should sign the Swedish forward.
Daniel Sturridge praised Liverpool target Alexander Isak.
Theo Walcott said Isak would be ‘ideal’ for Liverpool, and it appears Sturridge agrees, having previously praised the Magpies attacker.
Speaking on SkySports before Newcastle’s match against Nottingham Forest, the former Reds striker said:
“In my opinion, he is the finest overall. I believe Haaland is a superior goal-scorer. But, overall, what he can do is manage the ball and go 1v1. He can score his own goal and set up his teammates.
Isak’s Nottingham Forest display sends message to Liverpool
The 25-year-old has been one of Europe’s hottest strikers this season, netting 19 Premier League goals so far this campaign.
Two of those goals would come in Newcastle’s 4-3 win over Nottingham Forest, with Isak’s performance providing Liverpool with yet another reminder of his talents.
With Darwin Nunez expected to leave Liverpool this summer, Arne Slot will no doubt be in the market for a new forward.
So what better way to revamp your forward line than to sign the Premier League’s best?
