Richard Keys has once again defended Nottingham Forest after Jakub Moder was sent out for a horrific tackle on Neco Williams yesterday.
The commentator expressed his thoughts on the decision on his official blog.
So, what has Keys said this week about Forest? Let’s look more closely.
Richard Keys defends Nottingham Forest after another howler.
The Reds have had some absolute stinkers this season, and this was just another in a long line of blunders by match officials.
Forest needs to start winning immediately, and they can’t keep using the officials as an excuse.
Last week, Keys defended Forest when Paul Tierney dropped the ball erroneously back to Liverpool, who scored as a result.
This week, he was irritated once more when Michael Salisbury and Craig Pawson declined to send off Moder for Brighton.
Keys wrote on his personal blog: “Oh. Craig Pawson made another mistake as well. How did Jakub Moder stay on the pitch in Brighton?
“You could argue that Pawson didn’t need to be in the bunker because Michael Salisbury should’ve spotted Moder assaulting Neco Williams right away.”
“It’s worth pointing out that both refs have got form when it comes to howlers this season.”
Forest is running out of refereeing choices.
If one of Howard Webb’s responsibilities is to prevent blundering referees from being allocated to specific teams, Forest will be out of alternatives!
This is another error, and who knows what might have happened if the Reds had been permitted to play for perhaps 20 minutes against a man down.
Nuno Espirito Santo was outraged, and it was simple to understand why. Morgan Gibbs-White termed the latest judgment “outrageous,” and Forest must be wondering when they’ll get a break.
Keys is spot on once more with his comments about Forest. The frenzy simply has to stop, and perhaps the Reds will get a respite soon.
