Liverpool are undoubtedly the world’s best team right now.
Liverpool now leads the Premier League, and they also topped the Champions League group stage table.
Liverpool are in a good place right now, and the future looks promising at Anfield.
Indeed, Liverpool has a number of outstanding young players emerging right now.
Trey Nyoni appears to be a rising talent, and Jayden Danns has already been hailed for big things.
On the Aldo Meets Podcast, Steve McManaman has been discussing some of the young talent coming through at Anfield, and he believes Ben Doak will be a fantastic player, as well as the potential of Rio Ngumoha.
Ben Doak will be a fantastic player.
McManaman discussed Doak’s potential, claiming that he will be a fantastic player for Liverpool.
Meanwhile, McManaman described a talk he had with Rio Ngumoha about his talent and the buzz surrounding the young man.
Ngumoha has been projected for great things, but McManaman does not want him to get carried away.
“So I’m not sure if he (Ngumoha) believed he had a point to prove. Funny enough, I visited him on Friday, as I previously stated, and told him not to get carried away by the narrative, because of what occurred with the transfer going into Liverpool, and there was still some bad blood there, and his family wants them to do well. “You just have to make sure he doesn’t get carried away,” McManaman explained.
“Playing the way he did, scoring the goal and setting up another late in the game, I believe he’ll be extremely pleased. As previously stated, we always have one, don’t we? We brought in Ben Doak, who was a small skillful dribbler. He’s going to be a wonderful player, and he’s doing really well at Middlesbrough.
“He’s only 16, so don’t get carried away with him (Ngumoha). He has some extremely good characteristics. He’ll work hard, he’s at the proper place, and let’s hope he grows in the way everyone wants him to.”
Ben Doak’s stats this season
McManaman believes Doak has the potential to be a top player, and he definitely looks the part.
Indeed, the young Scot is presently on loan at Middlesbrough in the Championship, and at the age of 19, he is already making an impact in the second division.
Doak is scoring and assisting at an impressive rate for his age, and his performance will only improve from here.
Crystal Palace attempted to recruit Doak during the January transfer window, but Liverpool rejected the bid, possibly implying that Doak has a road into the first team at Anfield.
Of course, at only 19, Doak has a long way to go, but it’s been a promising start to what might be a very exciting career for this young man.
Mohamed Salah’s contract expires in the summer, so there may be an absence on Liverpool’s right wing, and Doak will be ready to show himself if an opportunity arises.
