Graham Smyth reveals who was venting at Ampadu in an unseen Leeds United encounter against Hull

Manor Solomon of Leeds United was spotted yelling at Ethan Ampadu during Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Hull City, according to Graham Smyth.

The Whites appeared to be on track to extend their lead at the top of the Championship to three points, but an 89th-minute Abu Kamara goal knocked them back.

Solomon, an Israel international, assisted in the game but was unable to lead the Elland Road team to victory following Kamara’s late goal.

On January 5, Yorkshire Evening Post writer Smyth revealed the off-camera interaction, writing: “Solomon venting to Ampadu at full-time and gesticulating back down the pitch to the scene of whatever had irritated him during the game.”

“Alex Cairns put his arm around the winger and then listened to his complaints about the game as they went off.”

Leeds United need to put their terrible results behind them.

The moment shared by Smyth demonstrates the displeasure that the results may cause among the Whites’ players.

They should have defeated Hull, who were in the relegation zone and had seven players ruled out of the game.

Such performances against weak teams are unacceptable if Daniel Farke’s side hopes to secure automatic promotion from the Championship this season following the devastating end to the previous campaign.

The Elland Road faithful will be apprehensive after two draws in their last two meetings, although Farke’s team still leads the standings by one point.

However, they must ensure that performance levels do not deteriorate following some poor results, with Burnley and Sheffield United hunting them down.

The Whites must pick themselves up and not allow standards to slip during a critical period of the season as they fight to reclaim their spot in the Premier League.
