Graham Smyth joked that Largie Ramazani managed to avoid a “disastrous” incident during Leeds United’s celebration over Sheffield Wednesday.

While Manor Solomon’s third-minute strike gave Daniel Farke’s side a small lead on January 19, it wasn’t until Largie Ramazani scored only four minutes into his cameo that the pressure was really lifted.

“Because, for a second, it appeared like they were advancing on the prospective landing zone, which would have been devastating. They could have been bringing out the stretcher if something went wrong.”

Leeds United’s nervousness show throughout their game against Sheffield Wednesday.

Smyth is obviously teasing, but his teammates should keep an eye out when Ramazani sprints out to celebrate his goals at Elland Road.

With five goals in 17 games since signing from Almeria in the summer, the somersault is expected to be used more frequently between now and the end of the current season.

Without Ramazani’s entrance in the 84th minute, Farke’s side could have struggled until the final whistle against the Owls, but all fans were relieved when the winger scored.

Given that the 23-year-old started on the bench last time out, it simply goes to show how excellent the squad is and why missing out on promotion to the Premier League will not be an excuse.

Brenden Aaronson, Dan James, and Solomon are presently the first-choice forwards to join Joel Piroe in attack, and that lineup appears to be doing the job so far this season.
