Graham Smyth believes Leeds United will sign three new players before the end of the transfer window.
Smyth told X on August 3 that he believes Leeds would recruit at least one winger, a full-back, and a new number eight.
Each of the three positions described above could be critical for the Whites to focus on this summer if they want to win Premier League promotion before the end of the season.
“That’s what I think it needs and I think they’ll at least do a winger, a full-back and an eight,” according to him.
Leeds United must replace their outgoing players.
Daniel Farke has been a busy man this transfer season, with a variety of names leaving and entering Elland Road during the summer.
Archie Gray is one of the club’s most notable ex-players. The defensive midfielder earned the West Yorkshire club roughly £30 million [BBC Sport] and helped them comply with the EFL’s PSR criteria.
While Gray’s money was most likely used to balance the club’s budget, players such as Glen Kamara, Diego Llorente, and now Crysencio Summerville have all left or are about to go [Florian Plettenberg, 3 August].
With this infusion of wealth into the club, there’s no reason why the Whites can’t begin to enter the market and bring in some big names to aid strengthen their promotion chances.
The 49ers Enterprises have worked hard to ensure that any names they are chasing are rarely disclosed to the public, so any new signings might appear out of nowhere in the coming month.
