It’s amazing to think that this time last season, Tottenham fans were dumping on their chairman, Daniel Levy.
Everything was going wrong for Tottenham, and it was only going to get worse in the second half of the season.
From Fabio Paratici’s suspension to Antonio Conte’s rage, to that disastrous away defeat and performance against Newcastle United.
The Spurs fans’ shouts of ‘we want Levy out’ became increasingly loud, but how would Daniel Levy be perceived if he left Tottenham tomorrow?
That was a question posed by Graeme Souness, who believes he would be considered a ‘good operator by accountants and boardrooms in London’, according to talkSPORT.
However, the Liverpool legend sarcastically remarked, ‘Oh, we have a terrific chairman because we haven’t fallen foul of financial fair play.
Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan, who is close acquaintances with the marmite-like Tottenham figure, believes the reaction will be ‘mixed mag’.
Nonetheless, Graeme Souness speculated that the average Spurs fan would not see Daniel Levy’s two decades of boardroom domination and decision-making as a plus.

“If Daniel Levy is to go tomorrow,” Souness stated. “He would be considered a good operator by accountants and boardrooms in London.
“But, by your average Spurs supporter, how would he be viewed?”
Simon Jordan answered, stating, “A mixed bag.” Because of Ange Postecoglou, he is currently afforded some leeway.”
Souness then sarcastically said, “Oh, we have a great chairman because we haven’t fallen foul of financial fair play.”
Ange Postecoglou has altered the mood.
Spurs fans’ morale plummeted last season, and it reached a new low when Harry Kane left in the summer.
Many believed it would allow Spurs fans to slide down the table, including Paul Merson, who has subsequently changed his opinion.
Ange Postecoglou, the manager, is responsible for the current atmosphere of optimism, enthusiasm, and positivity at Hotspur Way.
From his playing style to how he controls the players, it has been encouraging for the entire club, as many fans now believe they are on the right track.
