Leeds United will look to acquire a new full-back during the January transfer window, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Whites have already lost a full-back this month, with Luke Ayling moving to Middlesbrough for the rest of the season.
Jacobs also stated that there is rising interest in star winger Crysencio Summerville, who Leeds hopes to maintain at Elland Road.
“I have good news,” Jacobs stated in a Q&A on X. “I believe Leeds will look for a full-back. Chris Mepham and Connor Roberts may both be candidates.
“They also want to keep control of Crysencio Summerville. Growing interest, although Leeds has been quite happy with his approach over the summer.
New additions?
Leeds were quite active in the previous transfer window, with plenty of movement at Elland Road in both directions last summer.
Following their relegation from the Premier League, the Whites lost a long list of key players, with several first-team stars refusing to play in the Championship due to the level difference.
However, the newly hired Daniel Farke did an excellent job of replacing them, bringing in Joel Piroe and Ethan Ampadu to Elland Road.
However, the man in the dugout may try to increase his alternatives this month as the Whites aim for rapid promotion back to the Premier League.
Leeds have been doing well this season, sitting fourth in the Championship table with 48 points from 26 games.
However, it is a long season, and Farke may need to recruit fresh players this month to maintain the momentum as the Whites chase down Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton.
