Martin Zubimendi to Liverpool is currently the most talked-about transfer story.

The Spanish midfielder is reported to be the Reds’ top transfer target at the moment, and Liverpool fans are eager for an update on his potential move to Merseyside.

Vinny O’Connor, speaking on Sky Sports News, provided an update on Zubimendi from outside Anfield.

According to the journalist, this agreement is not moving rapidly.

Indeed, while Liverpool is eager to get Zubimendi, O’Connor believes the transaction is not imminent.

Martin Zubimendi’s deal is not imminent.

O’Connor revealed what he knew about the midfielder.

“Is it going to happen now with Martin Zubimendi? To some extent, yes, because we know Liverpool is interested in bringing him to the football club, but as far as a deal being imminent, you get the idea that is not the case right now,” O’Connor said.

“The impression we’re getting from within Liverpool at the moment is that any chance of a deal hasn’t moved on from what we brought you yesterday.”

Zubimendi’s relocation may still be tricky.

Zubimendi to Liverpool may not be as simple as many people believe.

The midfielder has been extremely committed to Real Sociedad for a long time, and the Spanish club is reportedly doing all possible to keep him.

Of course, a move to Anfield would appeal to any player, and let’s be honest, Liverpool is a far more prestigious club than Real Sociedad.

However, as a Basque native, Zubimendi may wish to stay loyal and stay in San Sebastian for another season.

This remains possibly the most intriguing transfer story in the Premier League right now.
