Nottingham Forest have had one of the best summer transfer windows of any Premier League team.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s Forest squad has grown significantly this summer, with six new players joining the club.
It’s also been a hectic summer for outgoings, with numerous players departing in recent weeks.
Forest avoided any PSR concerns in June by bringing in some money for the services of Orel Mangala and Moussa Niakhate.
So far, Forest has managed to preserve their major weapons, despite interest in some of them.
But the door may be just about to open for a huge sale this summer, with Forest said to have reduced their value of one of its stars.
Nottingham Forest cut in-demand players’ valuation by £15 million.
Despite their problems, individual Forest players had some truly amazing performances last season.
Morgan Gibbs-White, who thrived at the City Ground, contributed 15 goals in the Premier League alone.
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in Gibbs-White this summer.
However, there is another player who Forest fans will be concerned about losing, and the club may be opening the door somewhat for his prospective departure.
According to Sami Mokbel, Nottingham Forest now value Murillo at £55 million and £60 million this summer.
This comes amid interest from Premier League club Chelsea, who is notorious for spending a lot of money when it comes to signing players.
Forest have balanced their books against PSR this summer, but the idea of getting a bid of about £60 million for a player would undoubtedly give Evangelos Marinakis pause.
Nottingham Forest originally valued Murillo at £70 million.
What’s intriguing is that Forest has already stated that Murillo is worth around £70 million this summer.
The Brazilian centre-back has only played one season in the Premier League, but he has swiftly established himself at the City Ground, making 32 appearances.
This comes barely a year after Forest signed the centre-back for about £15 million from Brazilian club Corinthians.
Murillo may have had a’sensational’ first season in the Premier League, but Forest may find a big money offer too much to pass up if it comes from Marinakis.
