Sam Byram sustained a hamstring injury during Leeds United’s Championship victory over Luton Town, according to Daniel Farke.
On November 27, Elland Road hosted the Hatters in the league. The Whites won handily thanks to goals from Daniel James, Joel Piroe, and the left-back.
Speaking after the game, Farke said that the defender was substituted as a precaution. Byram was one of the better players on the field until he had to be replaced at approximately the hour mark, according to BBC Radio Leeds writer Adam Pope on X.
He stated, “Daniel Farke said it was a dominant performance.” “I’m disappointed that I gave up a few opportunities, but overall I’m really happy.”
As a precaution, Byram (hamstring) was taken off; hopefully, he will be fine for Saturday. Even though he was observed holding his left leg during the game, Solomon was alright.
Leeds United is hurt by Sam Byram’s injury following Luton’s victory.
Throughout the current season, Leeds has faced a number of fitness concerns. The German boss hasn’t been able to use players like Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev in recent months.
Fortunately for the Elland Road supporters, Junior Firpo will be eligible for the match against Blackburn Rovers on November 30. The Dominican was given a three-match suspension following his altercation with a Millwall player on November 6 [BBC, 9 November].
Although the Whites will be happy to see the former Barcelona player return, Byram’s possible absence might be devastating because he has covered both the left and right sides of the defense this season.
Despite losing his spot in the starting lineup this season, the Englishman’s recent performances have demonstrated that he is still an important part of the Peacocks’ team.
Although it’s unclear if the defender’s knock is serious, Byram should be alright based on Farke’s remarks.
After being tied with Sheffield United on goal differential, Leeds is now leading the league table. The German manager needs to use every resource at his disposal to get the Whites back into the Premier League.
