Fabrizio Romano provided a late-night update on Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Radu Dragusin.
Spurs are clearly interested in the Genoa defender. They’ve been in talks to sign Dragusin for over a week, and Romano has now stated that the next 24 hours will be crucial.
Fabrizio Romano offers an overnight update on Radu Dragusin’s transfer to Tottenham.
Radu Dragusin has been a long-term target for Tottenham. Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are Tottenham’s first-choice defense duo. When they are unavailable, Ange Postecoglou has had to rely on Emerson Royal and Ben Davies since he does not trust Eric Dier.
Tottenham are looking for a new center defense this month, and Dragusin appears to be their first choice at the moment. On Saturday, it was revealed that Genoa had rejected Tottenham’s initial attempt to sign Dragusin. A second bid was said to be on the way, and Romano now says negotiations are nearing completion.
He also stated at 11:04 p.m. last night that the next 24 hours will be critical, and Tottenham are certain they can sign him in the following days.
Romano tweeted: “Tottenham continue to work on Radu Dragusin deal; club remains confident of making it happen — no changes.” Spurs want the transaction completed as quickly as possible.
“Negotiations are in their last stages, with a vital 24 hours ahead. So yet, FC Bayern has not submitted an official bid to Genoa for Dragusin.
Tottenham will need to act quickly to sign Dragusin.
Radu Dragusin is a wanted person this month. We’re all aware of Tottenham’s interest in the excellent Genoa defender, but Ange Postecoglou’s side aren’t the only ones vying for his signature.
Napoli’s interest has been extensively publicized in recent days, but the concerning news for Tottenham is that Bayern Munich is also reportedly interested in signing Dragusin. It goes without saying that if Tottenham genuinely wants the Romanian, they will have to act quickly.
