“You are relaxed when you sign a deal, but Liverpool is still in talks with Van Dijk and is certain that they can make it happen with him.
“At the moment, nothing has been agreed, but Virgil van Dijk is communicating with the club. In this circumstance, Liverpool maintains its position.”
This will be huge news for Liverpool supporters. Given the uncertainties surrounding Van Dijk’s future, the fact that the club is still confident in keeping him at Anfield beyond next season is enormous news.
