Extra pressure for forthcoming Leeds United opponents with major blow before of the Whites’ match.

Leeds United’s next opponents, Chelsea, were brought all the way to extra time in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final before suffering late heartbreak thanks to a late Liverpool goal.

Leeds will face bitter rivals Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth round at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening, after Daniel Farke’s side played Championship leaders Leicester City on Friday night.

Chelsea, on the other hand, were in play two days later in the Carabao Cup final, which went to extra time following a goalless draw before Virgil Van Dijk’s 118th-minute header sealed a 1-0 victory for Liverpool, who had been plagued by injuries.
